Things are heating up over at Havas Host

We started 2025 with a bang by launching Unusual Works, a creative philosophy that helps our clients focus on what works, and let go of what doesn’t. At the same time, we created Aussie Futures - a bespoke research piece with YouGov that gives a meaningful view on the state of the nation.

The team grew as we welcomed 8 talented humans, bringing us to 38 brilliant minds. We welcomed 6 new clients including YoPro, Asahi Super Dry, and Contiki into the agency, and bid a fond farewell to Geely - only after successfully launching them to No.5 EV brand in less than 3 months. Plus, we managed to achieve revenue growth and stability in a challenging year for agencies.

We embraced AI to help us amplify our ideas rather than replace our talents.

And the work? We couldn’t be prouder. So, scroll on. See the Unusual Works that made 2025 a year worth celebrating - and a springboard for everything that’s next.

LOLOMA HOUR

Tourism brings opportunity, but it can also take more than it gives. So, inspired by Loloma (acting with generosity driven by love), we invited travellers to give one meaningful hour back to Fiji during their stay. Launched in partnership with 21 major resorts, guests could take part in 40+ sustainability activities across the country - turning free time into generosity, and changing tourism from an act of taking to an act of giving.

Tassal Seafood Summer

We turned December 1 into the first day of Seafood Summer, partnering with Budgy Smugglers to create custom swimmers, bucket hats and towels, and marking the occasion with a huge first-sunrise-of-summer swim at Bondi.

IKEA Minecraft

To tap into the cultural momentum of the Minecraft movie, we recreated IKEA’s most iconic furniture inside Minecraft using blocks that are readily available to all players, no downloads or mods required. In a game culture where players often prioritise exteriors over interiors, we inspired new and returning players with builds they could easily recreate inside their home bases, resulting in over 135k likes, 30k shares and 2.7k comments.

IKEA Popups

Ahead of IKEA’s big launch in New Zealand, we created a pop-up IKEA ‘film studio’ in Wellington, and an ‘Art House’ IKEA popup in Christchurch – giving the public their first taste of IKEA in way that was contextually relevant to their city.

Tassal SEAGULLS

We turned humans into seagulls to show that nobody can resist when the top-quality Tassal prawns come out on a sunny summer’s day.

delivering everywhere

With only one physical IKEA store opening in New Zealand, we let the rest of the country know they could get their items delivered nationwide with an OOH takeover showing Kiwis how IKEA fits into their lives, no matter where they are.

Welcome to our home

We created a brand anthem for Fiji Air, designed to welcome travellers the moment they step onboard. Recorded in English, iTaukei and Fijian Hindi, the song features local singers, instrumentalists and choir, every note carries the warmth, care and spirit of the island nation.

IKEA EVERYWHERE

Inspired by the Bader-Meinhoff phenomenon (frequency illusion), we let Kiwis know that as of December 4 they’ll be seeing IKEA’s iconic FRAKTA bags absolutely everywhere in New Zealand.

IKEA 50 YEARS

We celebrated 50 years of IKEA in Australia with a campaign that taps into a cultural truth – Aussies are always there to lend a hand when it comes to building IKEA’s ubiquitous flatpack furniture.

Seek what is unique

We helped people ‘seek what is unique’ with a first-in-market 3D execution on The Cube in Sydney’s World Square – teleporting the audience to downtown Tokyo with one seamless, jaw-dropping illusion.

THANKS FOR SCROLLING OUR UNUSUAL WORKS

And we’ll see you this time next year for an even hotter 2026 wrap-up.
